Container Mounted Solar Installation at Hilltop Urban Farm
Scope of Work
Hilltop Urban Farm is currently seeking bids from qualified local solar installation contractors for the following scope of work. Priority will be given to the contractor who can offer the lowest qualified bid for the full scope of work. Hilltop Urban Farm reserves the right to reject any and all bids. www.HilltopUrbanFarm.org

Scope of Work:
Installation of 8 container mounted solar systems.
Small Solar (5 quantity): 600W; Use is to charge cell phones, computers, power tools (drills), container lights and cameras, and small kitchen appliances (blender, etc.); containers are converted to farmer storage and wash/pack stations; 3 season use, mid-February to mid-November; mostly day time, but potentially into the evening
Large Solar (3 quantity): 4.5kW; Use is for a large coolbot cooler; Coolers are 24-hour load, 365 day per year; For more information about “coolbot coolers” please visit: https://www.storeitcold.com/how-it-works/
Solar systems are battery powered, and cannot have electrical grid connection.
Each solar system must function independently on each container. There is not an opportunity to connect battery systems between containers.
Containers are 8' x 40'
All bids must include the cost of installing internal LED lighting for each container.
All bids must provide the total cost for the full installation, with the expense for the Phase 1 installation listed as an individual line item.
Installation Phases: This solar installation will be installed in phases. Phase 1 will be completed in June to July 2019, and will consist of 1 large (4.5kW) system, and 2 small (600W) systems. The timeline for further phases of the installation will be determined at a future date.
